If Collingwood go back2back, Should Buckley walk away from the coaching succession plan?

When Buckley coached the Pies a few week ago in one of the NAB games in that assistant coach rotation system they use, he was asked during an interview "how does it feel, being the head coach for the night" His answer i thought at the time was interesting when he said " its like being given the keys to Micks brand new expensive car, you just dont want to mess it up." I thought then, maybe if Mick does go back to back, Bucks may continue that line of thought and say hey Mick your on a roll here, keep it going, i can wait. For Buckley to take over as a new coach of club that had just won back to back flags i imagine would be horrendous, especially if they lost a third successive grand final, and worse still if it was Mick, who happened to defect to another club, like the Saints Bulldogs or Carlton and comes out in new colors and conquers the Pies in a grand final ? Eddie and Bucks careers in footy would be done and dusted for sure, and the media would simply have a field day bagging them. Another thought however on all this conjecture, and i know its a long shot, but if the Pies do happen to go back to back, it would leave Malthouse 2 flags short of equaling Jock McHale's long standing record of 4 successive flags.(1927 to 30) I imagine that would be a challenge that would cross the minds of all coach's i'm sure.
